I am so glad you’re here,

I’ve been sharing some words and wonderings with you for a little while now, so I figured it was time we were introduced to one another.

Before we begin though, I can’t let the moment slip by without saying thanks for coming along for the journey. Thanks for listening. I am so glad you’re here.

If we haven’t met, my name’s Elle and I’m a 27-year old writer, poet and freelance journalist from Wales. I find inspiration in nature, the sea and people – from the lives of strangers to the people I love most.

My heart finds meaning in telling stories, so I thought I’d start by telling you a bit of my own. For most of my life, writing has been my outlet, my expression and my small, quiet way of making sense of the beautiful, changing world around us. I’ve seen it almost as a secret language… giving voice to my deepest sorrows and greatest joys – the good, the true, the beautiful, the messy, the mundane, and all that exists in-between.

To me, words are an extension of the soul, revealing the inner-most thoughts and emotions of the writer. They connect human hearts in the fullness of our humanity.

Writing poetry feels vulnerable. But it feels even more vulnerable to share it. And so, you’ll find that everything about this little corner of the internet is fully heart-connected, personal, imperfect, raw, baring-all, and wonderfully in progress (for even our scattered thoughts and unfinished sentences have something of worth to offer the world).

My hope is that the words shared here bring warmth and solace to you on your difficult days – reaching you and meeting you where you are. Whether you need your glass topped up with peace or a fresh, gentle reminder that you are not alone, I hope that you feel seen here.

With love,

Elle x
