Story of the store
A balm for the soul and a prescription for the heart, poetry can bring a special kind of solace to our lives. Indeed, just as there is a flower bouquet for nearly every occasion under the sun, so there is a poem, too. The right words can give voice to our greatest joys and deepest sorrows – the broken, the beautiful, the good, the true, the messy, the mundane, and all that lies in-between. Helping and healing. Inspiring and speaking. Moving hearts. Moving limbs.
Words by Elle was launched in 2020, born out of a lifelong love for poetry and a desire to tell tales of hope during a difficult year. It began with an old typewriter, a handful of notebook prayers and some pressed wildflowers from the Welsh countryside. What came next was an online shop of original poetry prints – from little A5 postcards to larger A3 posters – created to bring warmth and peace to those who read them.
